in creating custom
pieces designed
to our customers'
specifications,
and delivering them
on time, every time.
At Hillside Creations,
we do not use engraving
machines. All of
our work is done
by hand using a
sandblasting process,
also known as sandcarving.
When etching glass,
sandcarving produces
a much deeper etch
than would a laser
or rotary engraver.
When etching metal,
sandcarving provides
a clean, smooth
surface etch with
text that is easy
to read. This is
in contrast to a
rotary engraver
that can leave a
surface rough with
visible hatch marks
and text that can
be difficult to
read.
Please note that
the designs and

are but a small
sample of our offerings.
Due to the custom
nature of our work
it would be virtually
impossible to have
everything available
online. We are happy
